An enclosed set of policies and standards, approved by this Office upon the recommendation of the technical panel composed of members representing the following agencies and organizations:

Bureau of Higher Education, Department of Education, Culture and Sports (BHE/DECS)
The revised general principles and guidelines embodies relative to Criminology Education Program.
This revised Policies and Standards for Criminology Education prepares students for careers in scientific crime detection, Police Administration, Criminal Justice System Administration, Corrections and Jail Management, and Security and Safety Management. Its pragmatic value lies in its responsiveness to the strengthening of the law enforcement agencies of the government, the improvement of Criminal Justice System Administration and the enhancement of public security and safety. It seeks to develop critical thinking, effective communication, sound judgment and human values formation for effective involvement of the community in the maintenance of public order and safety.
For a more systematic implementation of the program, the prescribed curriculum shall be implemented on a gradual basis.
JCOP criminology school will give these policies and standards to the widest publicity possible among the academic community.
Compliance with these rules and standards by all concerned is desired.
CJC –JCOP CODE OF DISCIPLINE.
Discipline is a form of guidance. Its purpose is to promote genuine
character development and provide a good classroom atmosphere. The best
character and spirit of discipline lie in the observance of the rules and
regulations, especially when there is no supervision. Self-discipline is a
better measure.
GOOD GROOMING
Personal appearance is an essential characteristic in achieving a
desirable personality. Your personal appearance is your identification card in
society.
Good grooming is expected from students.
Male students are expected to
regularly cut their hair short and shave their mustache or beard.
Students are encouraged to maintain personal hygiene.
Students must follow their respective departmental rules and regulations
pertaining to good grooming.
SCHOOL UNIFORM
All students who are enrolled in JCOP must wear the prescribed uniform
set by respective school uniform on the days designated and on occasions
as required.
Students who are not in proper
uniform shall given disciplinary action before allowing them to attend classes
or join academic activities.
As long as the student is in
uniform, he/she is responsible to the College for his/her off-campus behavior.
Old students must start to wear their prescribed uniform however new
students must wear their complete uniform two weeks after classes begin.
Students caught inappropriately wearing their uniforms inside the campus
shall be subjected to disciplinary sanctions.
Tactical Uniform or PE Uniform is worn only during PE classes or firing
activity only and not inside the classroom during regular classes.
DRESS CODE
The JCOP College recognizes the right of students to come to school
dressed according to their individual taste. However, they are encouraged to
use attires that consider the educational character of the College and the
sensibility of other members of the academic community.
Dressing appropriately
is a virtue which the JCOP College would like to cultivate among students, thus
the JCOP College reserves the right to call the attention of students who dress
inappropriately. The nature of JCOP-College Foundation, students are encouraged
to practice the values of respect for one’s self, decency, and appropriateness
through their campus attire.
The College also sees itself as the training
ground for the student’s professional career, where certain standards of
dressing are required for employment.
The
Campus attire should be decent and modest. Some extremes are not acceptable,
including but not limited to: tube blouse (including spaghetti-strap) worn
without vest / bolero, backless blouse /
shirt (below the bust-line,) sando, sleeveless and/or thin strap blouses, blouse
with plunging neckline.
Punctuality is expected at all times and to
include on-time submission of requirements and other documents required by the Admin istration Department.
ABSENCES/TARDINESS
All students are not allowed to absence for
three (3) consecutive weeks of absences without valid reason, except:
1.
Death of a family member or relative;
2. Force major like floods, earthquakes, and
other natural and man-made calamities;
3.
Hospitalization for a maximum of 3 days; or
4.
As deemed valid by respective teachers.
